On this page you will find the plan which identifies how we cover the national curriculum in our school.

However, at Stockton on the Forest Primary school we believe in providing our children with a broad and enriched curriculum that supports children in their learning journey.Throughout the academic year we hold a number of enrichment weeks including arts week, science week, healthy schools week and friendship week all of which support children in becoming happy, healthy and caring individuals who understand that learning continues throughout life. We promote learning through experience and plan class trips and events each term. Visitors are also invited into school to further supplement our enrichment activities.

Below you will find a link to the school’s long term plan. This shows the content for the school’s curriculum in each academic year for every subject. In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 the school follows the Letter and Sounds programme for phonics. This is supplemented by resources from Read, Write Inc, Phonics Play and a variety of other carefully chosen materials. The school uses a mix of reading schemes but is largely based on Oxford Reading Tree and Bug Club books. If you’d like to know more about our school curriculum please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
